Cromwell Place, Albertropolis

Network in the heart of London

Situated in the heart of London’s cultural district, Cromwell Place gives our members access to a network of international art professionals. Once Prince Albert’s “Albertopolis,” South Kensington developed into one of Europe’s most successful cultural hubs during the second half of the 19th century.

Cromwell Place shares its pivotal location with the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Serpentine Galleries.

Our Club Room is a space for members to come together. A home away from home; where you can meet and entertain clients and colleagues alike, relax and enjoy a light food and drink offering.

Founded in New York in 1982, Stair Sainty Gallery is well established as specialists in 16th to early 20th century French and European painting. In 2005 the Stair Sainty Mayfair gallery opened offering an exhibition programme alongside art acquisition and advisory services. The gallery will relocate from Dover St to Cromwell Place early 2020.

Garry Scott Irvine

Garry Scott Irvine
Non-Exhibiting Member

Garry Scott-Irvine provides consultation to art collectors and family offices in the research and acquisition of art. He is a Patron of the Photographers Gallery in London, and works with contemporary photographers, as well as championing masters of the art. Primarily based in the South of France, and Italy, Garry also works extensively as an advisor to the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation. When in London, he is based at Cromwell Place, fittingly across the road from Francis Bacon’s former studio.

Lorena Ruiz de Villa

Lorena Ruiz de Villa
International Member

Barcelona-based art advisor Lorena Ruiz De Villa founded her firm in 1998 with a focus on Spanish and international contemporary art. Lorena and her team offer over 25 years of experience in the primary and secondary market to a clientele of private collectors, foundations, corporate collections and museums. The gallery and advisory afford expertise and available works of established artists. Lorena will exhibit highlights of her comprehensive lineup at Cromwell Place.

Based in Dubai, the gallery platforms pivotal masters of the region as well as introducing a new generation of compelling creatives that have matured in an era of technology, globalisation, and unprecedented socio-political issues. Focused on cultivating an international community, Tabari Artspace will bring their vision to a new audience in London at Cromwell Place upon opening.

A.I. Gallery

A.I. Gallery
Exhibiting Member

Established in 2015, London's A.I. is a gallery platform and curatorial project space for early career artists; committed to encouraging an East-West dialogue. Representing South-East Asian artists, they participate in several international art fairs including PhotoLondon, UNSEEN Amsterdam & LOOP Barcelona. A.I. will maintain their gallery office in East London and use Cromwell Place for their extended exhibition programming.

Faaiza Lalji

Faaiza Lalji
Non-Exhibiting Member

Collector and art of the Islamic World patron, Faaiza chairs the V&A Museum's Young Patrons Circle and the Aga Khan Museum's UK Patrons' Circle, sits on the Delfina Foundation's Strategic Advisory Panel and the British Museum's Contemporary & Modern Middle Eastern Art acquisitions group. Beyond her career in urban planning and development, she will continue to expand her presence in the international art community by operating her advisory endeavours and education programmes from Cromwell Place.
