Bringing together the work of four talented artists, including Arthur Lemaitre, Eeman Masood, David Brian Smith and Waswo X Waswo, the exhibition will explore the realms that lie between reality and the imagined, in which all the artists operate.

Moving between dreams, memories and intense observational recordings, the show intends to create convergence points between surrealism, the mystical qualities of nature and the crafting of individual identities and architectural frameworks.

A shared interest in delicate and highly controlled mark-making also unites the artists, as does a desire to operate at the nexus of the ‘in-between’ - be it between nature and architecture, past and present or historical context versus contemporary identity - secret and sacred places.

Galerie ISA

Located in the iconic Kamani Chambers building in the Art Deco district of Ballard Estate, Galerie ISA has a space of 5000 square feet, and a program focused on the world’s most dynamic contemporary artists.

Galerie ISA offers a unique platform for those wishing to explore a compelling range of international and diaspora artists. Visitors will discover new talents as well as finding exemplary works by those who have already made their mark on art history and contributed so much to the development of 21st Century Art. It is the strength of the reception to these artists’ works, coupled with a new vision of India within the global context, that continues to drive the gallery forward and inspire its passionate founder - Ashwin Thadani.
