Bidding is now open for the Magic of Persia auction.
The Magic of Persia Foundation (MOP), established in 2004, promotes Iranian art and culture to audiences outside of Iran, in order to make a notable contribution to its long-term advancement worldwide. This is accomplished through programmes focusing on modern and contemporary Iranian art, music, media, and academia in partnership with world-class institutions including the V&A, British Museum and Delfina Foundation. The charity’s primary source of funding derives from annual auctions of artworks generously donated by established and emerging Iranian artists. This year, MOP will host a live auction with a Chrisitie's auctioneer, as well as a silent auction throughout the evening at Cromwell Place on Thursday 30 June.
The event will also include a live performance by Iranian-American artist Darvish Fakhr and musical performance by Michael Henry along with complimentary drinks and food. A talk “Shaping Iranian Art: the role of the market and institutions” will also be hosted on June 28th including a number of expert speakers.
