As the itinerary of the Grand Tour developed, vedute (views) of familiar scenes like the Roman Forum or the Grand Canal in Venice recalled early ventures to the Continent for aristocratic Englishmen and others.

Alongside the realistic vedutismo, imaginary or invented views, known as capricci, were also in demand, as well as genre scenes depicting everyday life. Raccanello & Leprince will be showing a selection of ceramics from the 17th to the 19th century exploring these themes.
