Visitors will be guided on a tour of the exhibitions at Cromwell Place. Children of all ages will be invited to engage with the artworks on display with a focus on colour and drawing. Through maps, animals, faces, patterns, architecture and plants the children will learn about art from their own perspective and have the opportunity to make their own artwork.
The tour will include:
- Entanglement, at The Finch Project (Gallery 5), a group exhibition exploring our connection to the natural environment featuring five contemporary Australian artists, whose shared origins create a dialogue between the works.
- Sohan Qadrī: The Seer, at Sundaram Tagore Gallery (Gallery 8), a solo exhibition of Sohan Qadrī, (1932–2011), whose minimalist works on paper feature vibrant colours.
- The Wild Iris, at Casa AmaCord (Gallery 10), a solo exhibition of José Cori, whose work is defined by an ideal of colour purity - with striking vibrant tones and shades.
- Through the Strata, at Selma Feriani Gallery (Gallery 11), a solo exhibition by Yann Lacroix, showcasing his paintings, blurry memories of time and place; exotic foliage, abstract architecture, reflections of utopias from within the artist's imagination guided by his travels and experiences.
- Going Beyond, at Taste Contemporary (Gallery 12), a two-person exhibition of work by textile artist Michael Brennand-Wood and ceramic artist Anne Marie Laureys, looking at travel and spontaneity.
- Mondes Hypothétiques, at TIN MAN ART (Wing Gallery), a solo exhibition of paintings by Marie Elisabeth Merlin featuring wolves, monkeys and tropical plants in colourful idyllic habitats.
- of her own nature, at A3 - Arndt Art Agency (Pavilion Gallery), a solo exhibition of large scale paintings by Australian artist Del Kathryn Barton - female-presenting figures rise will rise from bodies of water as phoenixes from fire, surrounded by fantastical flora and fauna.
